About The Company
In 2008, Founder & CEO Tania Austin relaunched DECJUBA with a clear mission - to deliver amazing at every touchpoint. Today, DECJUBA is one of the leading fashion retailers in Australia and New Zealand, growing their footprint from 5 stores to over 140 stores and two online sites. With plans to extend its retail footprint even further with 10 new locations over the next 3 months, this is an exciting time to join the team. Over the past twelve years, DECJUBA has significantly expanded its product offering and launched two additional brands - D-LUXE Basics in 2016 and DECJUBA Kids in 2017. DECJUBA has since gone on to establish #AMAZING well beyond fashion. Our #DREAMTEAM is predominantly female led, with over 1400 team members across our stores and head office. Through the culmination of years of philanthropic work, in 2021 the DECJUBA Foundation was established - inspired by the belief that everyone deserves #AMAZING. By 2025, the DECJUBA Foundation will work towards positively impacting over 25 million lives. In 2022, DECJUBA also launched our Sustainability Strategy with a mission to become Australia’s most responsible fashion label. DECJUBA is committed to positively impacting lives & creating real, sustainable change locally and globally. They are a team that work, live, and breathe their values of honesty, bravery, integrity, innovation, and optimism.
About the Role

Join DECJUBA & Deliver AMAZING!

At DECJUBA, we are all about delivering effortless, edgy fashion that empowers our customers. Our Buying team is at the heart of this, creating on-brand, high-quality seasonal collections that drive our success. We are now looking for an experienced Buyer to take our Wovens range to the next level.

Your Role – Own the Wovens Category!

As our Buyer – Wovens, you’ll take full ownership of the category, creating must-have pieces that are not only on trend but also perform in sales. You’ll track the latest trends, collaborate with suppliers, and make sure our collections are ahead of the game. Working closely with Planning, Production, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising, you’ll turn creative ideas into commercial success.

Beyond product, you’ll lead and inspire a passionate team, mentoring them to grow and innovate within the category. If you love the thrill of building an iconic wovens range, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are ready to make an impact, this is your moment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Range Building & Commercial Strategy

  • Forecast trends and translate them into a commercially successful range.
  • Develop and present responsibly sourced collections that drive sales and align with brand DNA.
  • Analyse weekly trade performance, actioning repeat orders for bestsellers and managing markdowns for slower-moving styles.
  • Work with the Planning team on seasonal strategies, price point positioning, size analysis, and sales forecasting.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and store visits to ensure our wovens range is market-leading.

Product Development & Execution

  • Lead fit sessions, ensuring the perfect fit, fabric, and finish for every piece.
  • Work closely with suppliers on fabric sourcing and trims to achieve the best quality and margin.
  • Sign off on all supplier submissions and ensure tech packs are detailed and accurate.
  • Review production samples before final QA approval.
  • Collaborate with the Graphics team on print and artwork approvals for designs.

Sustainability & Innovation

  • Drive sustainable product development initiatives, including designing for circularity and responsible sourcing.
  • Ensure styles are developed with longevity, recyclability, and quality in mind.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and coach junior team members, fostering growth and development.
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and regular performance reviews.
  • Encourage a collaborative and supportive team environment aligned with DECJUBA’s values.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience – Minimum 5 years as a Buyer, ideally within the wovens category.
  • Technical Skills – Strong knowledge of fabrications, garment construction, and product development.
  • Commercial Mindset – A proven track record in driving sales and developing successful, trend-led ranges.
  • Leadership Skills – Experience in leading and developing a team.
  • Tech-Savvy – Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Passion & Drive – A positive, proactive approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Why DECJUBA?

  • A fast-paced, collaborative, and inspiring work environment.
  • The opportunity to shape and influence our wovens category.
  • A supportive team culture with strong career development opportunities.
  • A company that values sustainability and continuous innovation.

If you’re a wovens expert with a passion for fashion, product, and people, we’d love to hear from you!
