Description
We are seeking a motivated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to provide continuity and leadership in the operation of our retail store. This individual will assist the store manager in all basic store management functions, provide leadership in a small staff environment and uphold high service standards.
Location and Environment
On Rt. 58, Southampton Parkway, in the heart of peanut farming country, we are a specialty foods retailer featuring local and regional food products. We are also well known for our samples, gift collections and giftware for entertaining. Famous for its hospitality and guest experience, the store is unique, appealing to locals and travelers alike, and open 7 days a week.
Requirements
· 1-2 years sales/customer service experience with min. 6 months’ manager or keyholder experience
· Retail experience a plus
· Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to work well in a small team environment
· Planning and time management skills
Responsibilities
· Provide superior customer service experience
· Provide superior sales and sales leadership, based in current product knowledge
· Execute promotions, sales events
· Maintain an organized stockroom
· Receive and manage inventory, including POS data entry and merchandising
· Perform cash register functions and daily sales reports
· Regularly open and close store
Shift and Compensation
· Full-time position, approx. 40 hrs. per week
Benefits include insurance, employee disount, and matching 401K
· Pay rate $17-19/hr., commensurate with experience
· A mixture of weekday and weekend shifts are required (1 weekend shift)
