Cloud Networking Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Be part of the client’s DMZ network infrastructure support team providing operations support and maintenance for core network infrastructure and providing expertise in supporting AWS cloud networking.
• Conduct troubleshooting, fault analysis, problem resolution, regular patching, performance optimization, etc.
• Manage and track incidents through to resolution, and escalating issues as necessary.
• Maintain and update documentation and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across operations as well as completeness and adherence to the required security policies, standard and guidelines.
• Provide standby support (rotation basis) to respond to critical incidents reported by users.

Requirements:

• At least 6-8 years of working experience in Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), with comprehensive understanding of core networks, cloud networking and related systems.

• Has AWS operational experience in the capacity of System Administrator or Cloud Engineer.
• Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner or SysOps Administrator (Associate) or Solution Architect (Associate) is highly preferred. Those with Advanced Networking (Specialty) will have added advantage.

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewall products, switches, routers, DNS, DHCP, NTP configuration, TCP/IP networking, etc. Certification in CCNA will have added advantage.
• Ability to perform network troubleshooting, diagnose and resolve cloud and network access problems.

• Prior working experience in defence organisations or government ministries requiring security clearance will have an advantage.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
