About the Role

Program: Facility Management

Pay: Range starts at $24.00/hour (pay is calculated based on years of related experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8am – 4pm

*driving responsibilities included - requires a minimum age of 21 and a current driver’s license

 Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician II performs maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, mechanical systems, fixtures, and fire/life safety. This role requires hands-on knowledge of building systems, general construction practices, and the ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently while providing excellent customer service.


Essential Functions

  • Performs maintenance and repairs on company buildings in accordance with company standards and safety policies
  • Troubleshoots and repairs building systems including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural components
  • Assists with project estimates, vendor oversight, and review of construction/remodel plans
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, building plans, and technical diagrams
  • Completes renovation and repair work including sheetrock, framing, fixtures, patch/paint, plumbing, and electrical tasks
  • Assists with work orders, preventative maintenance, and tracking labor and materials
  • Responds to emergency and after-hours maintenance requests as needed
  • Performs work in compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Requirements

Prior Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance, construction, or building systems experience required
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
  • Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience in commercial or residential maintenance
  • Experience with framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, or other construction trades
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and building operationse year of facility maintenance or related experience
