Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience by preparing and serving high-quality beverages in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role requires strong knowledge of drink preparation, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar. The Bartender ensures guests have an enjoyable time that encourages repeat visits while following all company policies, safety regulations, and alcohol service guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes.
· Accept guest payment and operate the point-of-sale system.
· Check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol service.
· Stock bar with beverages and supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, and straws.
· Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer guest questions.
· Take beverage orders from guests and serving staff.
· Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in all bar areas.
· Prepare garnishes and keep bar displays attractive and functional.
· Assist with restocking and inventory management.
· Report equipment or maintenance issues to the General Manager.
· Coordinate with team members to support efficient operations and excellent guest service.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Requirements
· High School graduate.
· Minimum of 21 years of age.
· Knowledge of food and beverage service, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions.
· Excellent basic mathematical skills.
· Able to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
· Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
· Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
