Have you put in the work to advance your machining career? Join our team as the Tool and Die Apprentice! Gerflor USA is looking for a positive, detail oriented, team player to join our team and take advantage of this exciting opportunity!

The Tool & Die Apprentice will learn and assist in the building, maintenance, and repair of injection molds under the guidance of experienced Tool & Die Makers. This role focuses on developing foundational skills in machining, mold repair, inspection, and documentation while supporting Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams.

The apprentice will gain hands-on experience with welding, brazing, machining processes, and mold teardown/assembly, while learning to interpret drawings and follow standard procedures.

Your Day to Day

• Assist with preventive maintenance and basic repairs on injection molds
• Support disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of tooling
• Learn to identify molding issues and assist in basic troubleshooting
• Assist in machining and restoring mold components to required specifications
• Help perform teardown, cleaning, and inspection of mold components
• Learn to measure and document repairs and modifications accurately
• Assist in building and fitting parts under supervision
• Support tool corrections and learn to interpret drawings and specifications
• Assist engineering team with documentation and CAD-related tasks as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping duties)

What We Would Love About You

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Familiar with mechanical tools, machining concepts, or manufacturing environments
• Some experience (academic, technical training, or hands-on) in machining, tool & die, or related field preferred
• Familiar with or exposure to injection molding concepts is a plus
• Basic familiarity with machine shop equipment such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, or CNC equipment (training provided)
