About The Role:

The Loan Documentation Specialist prepares accurate, compliant loan documentation in LaserPro based on approved loan terms and conditions. This role reviews and validates borrower, corporate, and collateral information to ensure documentation aligns with credit approvals, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The Loan Documentation Specialist partners closely with Loan Processors and Relationship Managers to resolve exceptions, obtain missing items, and incorporate updates, while responding to inquiries professionally and promptly. The position also maintains ongoing compliance through required training and adherence to bank procedures and applicable state and federal regulations. This is an on-site position at our Watsonville location. 


Job Duties:

  • Prepares loan documentation in Laser Pro in an accurate and timely manner as loan was approved. 
  • Review the documentation to ensure they correctly describe the intended terms and conditions of the loan and follow loan policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and interprets the loan requests, terms, and conditions, to the related Borrower, and collateral documentation to accurately structure and document the loan to ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Confers with Loan Processors and/or Relationship Managers, as necessary, for any pending items, corrections and/or revisions, as well as any updated loan information for the file.
  • Verifies proper approvals through the credit write up
  • Validate information required for documentation; obtain a thorough review of corporate and collateral documentation, including but not limited to:
    • Flood determinations
    • Lien searches
    • Title searches 
    • Completeness and compliance with loan approval guidelines and internal policies
  • Respond to and resolve Relationship Managers inquiries with professionalism and promptness
  • Successful completion of all compliance and training courses assigned by the Bank
  • Adhere to and comply with Bank policies and procedures
  • Adhere to and comply with state, federal and other governmental rules and regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • AA Business Administration or equivalent 
  • Prior banking experience a plus
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a loan servicing setting preferred


Requisite Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail oriented
  • Familiar with company software and processing procedures
  • Knowledge of all bank lending rules and regulations
  • Ability to work with minimum direction
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity
  • Regular, reliable and punctual attendance
