Head Women's Flag Football Coach


The Head Women’s Flag Football Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and success

of the women’s flag football program. This includes tactical preparation, fiscal management, recruitment of

student-athletes, and ensuring the program aligns with the university's mission of academic and athletic

excellence.


  • Oversee all aspects of the women’s flag football program, including practice planning and game-day management.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic visions for program growth and competitive success.
  • Recruit high-caliber student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of Westcliff University.
  • Manage the program budget, including travel, equipment, and scholarship allocations.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant coaching staff and graduate assistants.
  • Ensure full compliance with NAIA and university regulations.
  • Monitor and support the academic progress and retention of student-athletes.
  • Handles other projects and tasks as needed.


Physical Requirements: 


  • Ability to physically demonstrate flag football techniques, including offensive, defensive and special team skills and fundamentals.
  • Capability to remain active and mobile on a football field for the duration of practices and games.
  • Visual acuity and verbal communication skills necessary for real-time coaching and game management.


+ Amount of travel involved

- High; frequent travel for away competitions (conference and non-conference) and year-round

recruiting trips.


+Working indoors or outdoors

- Primarily outdoors (70%) on the field with outdoor transit for travel, recruiting and/or campus

events. (30%) in-office settings managing rosters, recruiting calls, administrative tasks.


+Indicate exposure to machinery, extreme conditions

- Limited to standard athletic equipment such as ball machines, electronic scoreboards, and

video recording towers. No exposure to extreme environmental conditions.


+Indicate amount of time spent sitting, standing, walking 

-Standing/Walking: 70% (During on-field training, active game coaching, and recruiting).
