Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in finance. You will play a key role in subledger accounting, with full responsibility for billing procedures and payments to suppliers, whilst providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Your responsibilities day to day will be…
- Processing, validation and reconciliation of end-to-end invoicing and collection files.
- Creating and distribution of invoices to and collections from customers.
- Manage the accounts payable portfolio to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Allocating invoices to the appropriate expense account and gaining the relevant authorisation.
- Processing and approval of employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Raising, validation and posting of payments to suppliers and completion of daily bank reconciliation.
- Assistance with month end reporting through preparation of basic balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting packs.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Improvement of operational systems and processes and suggesting ideas for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and able to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiarity with accounting software.
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
