Job Description & Summary:

Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end digital transformation and PMO for large capital projects in metals & mining—covering planning, execution, governance, and benefits realization. You will drive adoption of digital/AI solutions (e.g., 5D BIM, advanced scheduling & risk analytics, drone/LiDAR-based progress tracking, IoT geo-fencing for materials, digital twins, and GenAI assistants for controls and reporting) to deliver measurable improvements in time, cost, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

A. PMO Execution

  • Maintain work plans and lookahead schedules; update progress, logic ties, and milestones in Primavera/MS Project.

  • Run EVM calculations (CPI/SPI), cost/schedule variance analysis; prepare management reports.

  • Support risk registers, mitigation tracking, and safety audit follow-ups; assist in compliance documentation.

B. Procurement & Vendor Performance

  • Track material delivery performance; maintain vendor scorecards and expediting logs.

  • Support bid evaluations, contract change requests, and documentation.

C. Digital/AI Enablement

  • Build Power BI/Tableau dashboards (time, cost, risk, quality, safety, regulatory).

  • Assist BIM coordinators with 5D BIM linkages (quantities, cost/schedule) and model reviews.

  • Operate drone/LiDAR progress workflows (with supervision), assist in computer vision checks for site safety.

  • Run IoT + geo-fencing material tracking dashboards; flag exceptions (route deviation, dwell breaches).

  • Use GenAI assistants for executive summaries, daily status notes, risk logs, and stakeholder communications (governed by data policies).

D. Documentation & Stakeholder Support

  • Maintain PMO registers (change, interface, issues, decisions); compile weekly/monthly packs.

  • Coordinate meetings, actions, and follow-ups with EPCs/vendors/regulators; support site visits & audits.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–5 years relevant experience in construction + metals/mining + PMO on capex projects.

  • PMP® (preferred; willingness to obtain within 12 months).

  • M.Tech (NICMAR) preferred; alternatively BE/B.Tech (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) + MBA with relevant project experience.

  • Hands-on with Primavera/MS Project, Power BI/Tableau/Excel, BIM tools (Navisworks/Revit/Synchro); exposure to drone/LiDAR and IoT tracking advantageous.

Core Skills

  • Planning & controls, data handling, dashboarding, report writing, on-ground coordination.

  • Detail orientation, problem solving, collaboration; strong communication & stakeholder management.

Working Model

  • Extensive travel to project sites/client offices.

  • Exposure to large, marquee projects and cutting-edge digital/AI solutions—an accelerator for future roles.

Key Differentiators for Both Roles

  • Work with multibilliondollar metals & mining programs (terminals, mines, beneficiation, smelters, logistics).

  • Deep exposure to digital/AI in project management: 5D BIM, digital twins, advanced scheduling & risk analytics, drone/LiDAR, IoT geofencing, GenAI copilots.
