About the Role
Job Purpose:
Assist the Team Lead with primary responsibility to support the design, governance and ongoing effectiveness of workflow and communication systems that are critical to Business Continuity Management and support other aspects of the corporate BCM programme to ensure successful implementation of BCM requirements (e.g. exercises, training).
Key responsibilities:
Support Team Lead on system development and testing to ensure fit-for-purpose system enhancements to meet evolving BCM requirements.
Provide hands‑on production and operational support for BCM systems, from resolving software issues to managing system security reviews and user access—ensuring the right people have the right access at the right time.
Support Group‑wide BCP initiatives by leveraging GenAI to review, enhance and benchmark business continuity plans—driving consistency, quality and readiness across assigned Business and Support Units.
Support or lead the planning and execution of organisation‑wide BCP exercises that bring teams together to practise real incident response and recovery—especially during high‑impact, enterprise‑wide “what‑if” scenarios.
Coordinate and support Group‑level BCP initiatives to continuously raise the Bank’s resilience and readiness, taking ownership of specific business and support units and helping them stay crisis‑ready.
Lead the User Requirement Gathering with key stakeholders, User Acceptance Testing with Application Development team/key users, Production Support covering software defects and Operational Support covering Training, System Security and User Access Reviews for the Business Continuity Management systems.
Support Group‑wide BCP initiatives by leveraging GenAI to review, enhance and benchmark business continuity plans—driving consistency, quality and readiness across assigned Business and Support Units.
Plan and deliver organisation‑wide BCP exercises that go beyond theory—simulating high‑impact, worst‑case scenarios to stress‑test how teams respond and recover during major disruptions.
Partner business and support units to strengthen their continuity plans, providing practical advice and quality reviews—leveraging GenAI to improve consistency, clarity and effectiveness.
Support the team’s day‑to‑day operations, including procurement coordination, financial reconciliations (GLAO), and managing alternate recovery sites—so everything is ready when it’s needed most.
Use advanced Excel (e.g. analysis, reconciliations, scenario modelling) to support BCM reporting, controls, and operational readiness.
Leverage basic coding or scripting skills (e.g. Python, VBA, or similar) to automate checks, improve data quality, and streamline BCM workflows.
Requirements:
Min 3-5 years of relevant experience in system scoping and requirements translation.
Responsible for understanding business needs and translating them into technical terms and vice versa for various stakeholders. This includes creating and maintaining project and application requirements.
Technical experience in developing and validating User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases
