About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives on organization and accuracy? Join our team as a Bookkeeper for Self-Direction, where your work directly supports essential programs and helps ensure financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting payroll and billing processes, and collaborating with a dedicated team committed to excellence.

 

As our Bookkeeper, you’ll be responsible for a variety of financial and administrative functions, including:

  • Reviewing and processing accounts payable and preparing weekly check runs
  • Supporting bi-weekly payroll review and preparing payroll for approval
  • Completing weekly journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Managing billing processes, including trackers, invoicing, and monthly vouchers
  • Reviewing expenditure reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting program initiatives and special projects
  • Performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence
  • Maintaining organized, up-to-date records and documentation in SharePoint

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred)
  • Experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounting-related role
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with financial systems and processes

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with Self-Direction, OPWDD, HCBS, or IDD programs is a plus
