Medical Billing Specialist / Revenue Cycle Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing healthcare organization. This position will support multiple medical businesses including primary care, concierge medicine, wellness/weight loss, and medical aesthetics.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, experienced with insurance claims and patient billing workflows, and comfortable working across multiple software platforms and practice environments.

Primary Responsibilities
- Submit and track insurance claims accurately and efficiently
- Review and correct claim rejections and denials
- Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid or underpaid claims
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately
- Reconcile accounts and identify billing discrepancies
- Manage patient balances and assist with billing-related inquiries
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when needed
- Work closely with providers and clinical staff regarding documentation and coding requirements
- Assist with prior authorizations and appeals as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Generate billing and collections reports for management review
- Support revenue cycle optimization and workflow improvements
Software Platforms Utilized
Experience with the following systems is preferred:
- athenaOne
- Stripe
- AestheticsPro
- Gravity (membership/payment management software)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of medical billing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, E&M coding concepts, and claims processing
- Experience working with Medicare, PPO, HMO, and commercial insurance plans
- Familiarity with medical aesthetics and/or concierge medicine billing is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and software systems simultaneously
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:

Compensation will be based on experience
Pay Scale/Ranges:
$25.00-$30.00/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*

The patey scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
