Retread Technician

Description

Ability to produce a high-quality retread by performing specific retreading tasks, as assigned, per Bandag specifications and time standards. This position is full-time from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Duties Include:

• High quality workmanship: keeping supervisor informed of production problems as they occur
• General maintenance of specifically assigned equipment and area, in a safe, clean and workable manner
• Skills include buffing, initial inspection, certified repair, shipping, and basic tire analysis

Retread Technician Requirements:

• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Team- Player: Works well as a member of a group.
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
• Must pass a pre-employment background check/drug screen

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting. 
• Lifting: frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Environment: Work in environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
• Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) 
• Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment)
