About the Role

ROSS Companies is looking to identify an experienced and qualified Maintenance Technician II in Williamsburg, VA. Your role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the highest standard of customer service, resident comfort, property upkeep and overall satisfaction, aligning perfectly with our company's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Complete service order requests timely and accurately, as assigned.
  • Monitor maintenance supply inventory and inform supervisor of items requiring ordering.
  • Service and maintain community equipment, thereby allowing continued, uninterrupted use.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
  • Participate in, and remain available for, 24-hour emergency maintenance service and weather emergencies, as needed.

As part of this role, the Maintenance Technician is eligible for on‑site housing. Living within the community provides added convenience, reduced commute time, and the ability to respond quickly to after‑hours maintenance needs. This arrangement supports a stronger connection to the property, enhances resident service, and contributes to a well‑maintained, responsive living environment.


Required Experience/Skills

3+ years of maintenance experience including HVAC repair and preventative maintenance of individual or central plant equipment, appliance, plumbing and electrical systems and repairs, fire safety equipment and repairs, supervision and preparation of apartment turnovers and flooring installations.

Ability to assist and follow instructions in the performance of all maintenance repairs and duties independently, professionally and in a timely responsible manner.

Initiative and motivation to continue training to develop skills, preferred (i.e. license and certifications).

Good organizational and time management skills. CFC - Type 2 may be required.

A valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

The duties and responsibilities will require all or some of the following physical applications:

· Lifting, standing, walking, twisting, crawling, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling, steering and bending, with dead weight in excess of 40 pounds.

· Operating powered and non – powered equipment and tools where manual pushing, pulling or steering of equipment is required.
