Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting policy through interpretation of US GAAP and compliance with GE policy, provides technical accounting support to the finance and operations community, assists the sales and commercial teams with contractual support, drives accounting compliance with the operations teams.
- Responsible for the commercial and operational risk assessment to ensure the effectiveness of controls and accuracy of US GAAP reporting.
- Responsible for the application of local statutory standards to ensure the accuracy of statutory reporting.
- Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to identify and solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field with lean mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience in the Finance & Technical Accounting.
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
