Summary of essential job functions:

  • Assist Clinical Operations in Assisted Living, Memory Care and Long-Term Care.
  • Ensure the daily operations are in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.
  • Complete necessary audits and Infection Control program in the building.
  • Schedule daily rounds to observe clients and nursing staff, ensuring that quality care is provided to clients.
  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the DON as necessary/required, concerning nursing operations.
  • Participate in PLS surveys made by authorized government agencies.
  • Attend various committees of facility (i.e., Infectious Control, Policy Advisory, Pharmaceutical, Budget, Quality Assessment and Assurance, etc.) as required, and as appointed by the administrator.
  • Maintains master forms on computer for: Floor schedule, calendar attendance, trade slips, call-in slips, leave early slips, payroll deduction sheet, new schedule sheet, etc.
  • Assist with on-boarding and training of new hires.
  • Take and make phone calls after hours.
  • Work the floor when necessary; and every other weekend on call. Some holidays on call.
  • Reports to Director of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Indiana.
  • Prior experience as a manager/supervisor or scheduling with skilled nursing/long-term care a plus.
  • Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the orientation program.
