About the Role

KerberRose is looking for a Tax Manager to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong client relationships and demonstrate an understanding of clients’ businesses and tax needs.
  • Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations.
  • Prepare tax research memoranda, written correspondence, and technical guidance related to federal, state, and local tax matters.
  • Assist with responses to notices and requests from taxing authorities, as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of staff through review, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in business development activities, including identifying opportunities, supporting proposals, and strengthening existing client relationships.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and budgets while meeting firm and client deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA certification
  • 9+ years of recent public accounting experience
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or people leadership role
  • Strong technical tax knowledge, communication skills, and attention to detail
