And now we have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Advisory Specialist to join the AA and drive secure-by-design practices across our organisation, acting as a trusted advisor to technology and business teams.
What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga
You’ll lead security advisory across key initiatives, shape and embed our enterprise security architecture, and partner with architects and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with security principles while balancing risk and delivery. Through guidance, assurance, and constructive challenge, you’ll help teams integrate effective controls, uplift security maturity, and ensure secure by design delivery. You’ll also support security incident response, contribute to vendor assessments, and influence the cyber security roadmap—bringing insight on emerging threats and continuously improving how security is delivered at scale.
About You | Mōu
We’re looking for a seasoned and influential cyber security professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and the confidence to operate at a senior advisory level. You’ll bring a solid understanding of industry security frameworks and standards, along with proven capability in threat modelling and security assurance practices. A skilled communicator, you’re able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical concepts into clear, practical insights that support effective decision-making. With relevant experience across cyber security, technology risk, or assurance roles, and ideally supported by certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or ISO, you’ll be passionate about driving security maturity, enabling good outcomes, and making a meaningful impact in a complex environment.
