General description
The Securities Lending Sales Specialist is a key member of the Private Banking Sales (Singapore) – Structured Products & Securities Lending team responsible for the sale of securities lending – covering Asia & Middle East region.
The role involves promoting and supporting the Bank’s securities lending offering, working very closely with the Securities Lending Sales & Trading colleagues in Zurich, have a detailed understanding of the securities lending process flow and a good understanding of the wider business in Asia and Middle East markets.
Further, the individual shall also have regular dialogues with the front representatives to be kept abreast of client needs/demands ensuring the products and services offered to clients remain relevant and competitive; and in addition to provide support to the team in structured product sales.
The Securities Lending Sales Specialist reports to the Head of Private Banking Sales (Singapore) – Structured Products & Securities Lending.

Build highly impactful relationships with global and regional stakeholders across functions in the Bank
Client management (internal & external)
Advise clients in a tandem approach with Front in a product expert role about securities lending aligned with the client’s financial objectives and risk profile
Collaborate with all stakeholders to keep enhancing the proposition driving continuous improvements, and potentially creating better propositions for UHNW clients
Develop and maintain Front and client relationships to promote the Bank’s securities lending offering services and take appropriate measures to fulfil client’s needs/demands
Support the team to provide end-to-end structured products advisory services to Front (i.e. market analysis, trade ideas, strategies formulation, pricing and structuring)
Business management
Support the team’s financial and strategic objectives and operational goals, driving business outcomes and results
Identify opportunities to enhance functional efficiency and productivity, proposing process improvements and workflow optimisations, where relevant/appropriate
Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management
Meet all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements
Adhere to the standards and expectations outlined in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including, but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Professional & technical
7 years or more of private banking knowledge and experience, specifically in securities lending
Understanding of how custody services work, especially with respect to process and design architecture in the continuously shortening trading settlement cycles
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
Strong understanding of the use of electronic pricing tools and dealing systems
Strong commercial judgement, business acumen and a broad understanding of the financial markets and products
Regulatory
MAS licensed representative
CACS 1 & 2, FMRP, RES 12B, CM-EIP and CM-SIP, or CM-CMP
Familiarity with Singapore and Hong Kong regulatory expectations and requirements
Understanding of cross border rules and regulations
