JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Chassis M&R Rover Lead and the Business Capture & Development Manager, the Chassis M&R Rover performs routine preventive maintenance and repair of containers, trailers, and chassis outside of the Seafix Chassis Repair Shop.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Duties below may not include all duties listed and these are not intended to be limiting in nature).
- Conducts routine/scheduled maintenance on leased/owned containers and chassis.
- Repairs equipment in accordance with, manufacturer & FMCSA guidelines.
- Documents repair according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writing.
- Repairs tires, brakes, lights, landing leg and framework.
- Perform light welding when required.
- Determine unit condition by conducting inspections, diagnostic tests, and identifying deficiencies.
- Diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on various pieces of equipment and trucks.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance services on various pieces of equipment.
- Utilize manufacturer software programs associated with repairing and diagnosing equipment.
- Ability to clearly document repair and work efforts.
- Maintain a safe & organized work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE | |

EXPERIENCE | One (1) year of verifiable mechanical experience Four (4) years’ experience in chassis repair and maintenance (preferred) |
