Custodian Technician

• Maintain cleanliness of overall facility
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Clear debris from grounds
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, snow blowers, and snow shovels
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Gather and empty trash
• Attend to emergency janitorial needs when necessary
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
• Identify and report possible needed repairs
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
• Must have minimal computer knowledge (accessing email)
• Must be able to stand, bend or work in various positions.
• Must be able to work inside or outside in varied environmental conditions and in inclement weather.
• Experience working in a low-supervision environment required
• Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly
