The Lady Hamilton Hotel: Located in the central suburb of Gardens behind the Mount Nelson Hotel, the Lady Hamilton Hotel provides accommodation and conferencing in a quieter part of town. The outside pool is exquisite and sheltered from wind from all sides. The friendly staff welcomes travellers visiting Cape Town for business or pleasure to the Lady Hamilton. The hotel is a short walk from many historic museums, art galleries and the trendy bustle of Kloof Street. The Tulip Hotel and Conference Centre: The Tulip is a Two Star hotel with conferencing facilities on the corner of Strand and Bree Street. Accommodation is comfortable and affordable, and affords guests the chance to explore Cape Town and surrounding attractions such as the Waterfront with ease. This central hotel regularly welcomes all families, tour groups and business travellers.

Banquet Cook


Join our dynamic culinary team at our boutique hotel, where we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service and cuisine. We are seeking a dedicated Banquet Cook with prior experience in banquet preparation to help us create memorable events and ensure the highest standards of quality and presentation.


Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets, events, and special functions according to established recipes and standards

- Assist in planning and executing banquet menus in collaboration with the culinary team

- Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and served in a timely manner to meet event schedules

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations in compliance with health and safety regulations

- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for supplies and ingredients

- Follow food safety procedures and ensure proper storage of all food items

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy banquet events


Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience in banquet cooking or large-scale food preparation

- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

- Excellent knife skills and culinary techniques

- Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards accurately

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
