About the Role

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Advisory Board

Mission Statement:
“Improve the quality and scope of behavioral health care services at Valley through meaningful participation and collaboration.”

Valley Behavioral Health (Valley) is looking for Advisory Board members with lived experience, such as:

  • Former Valley clients
  • Community-based advocates
  • Behavioral health professionals and providers
  • Family members of individuals receiving behavioral health treatment
  • Individuals receiving behavioral health treatment with other community providers.

Highlights:

  • Valley values community involvement in care and welcomes all who are interested in making an impact.
  • Valley’s goal is to expand access to evidence-based treatments for underserved populations in Salt Lake and Tooele Counties. Board members will bring their valuable perspectives and insights to help enhance the quality of care and services offered by Valley as we pursue certification as a CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic).

Responsibilities Of Board Members Include:

  • Meet once a month in person
  • Share feedback regarding firsthand experiences with behavioral health conditions and services.
  • Discuss ideas to improve the overall client experience and services offered by Valley.
  • Provide input on proposed elimination or expansion of service offerings.
  • Elect service positions, including a Board Chair.
  • Collaborate to provide recommendations to the Governing Board.
