Job Title: Commercial Credit Specialist
Location: Main Office
Salary Range: $22.89 To $30.69

Position Summary: The Commercial Credit Specialist provides specialized support by servicing the needs of the Commercial Credit Department. This position performs a variety of routine daily tasks and participates in special projects.
Essential Functions:
- Consistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers.

- Self-directed workflow; effectively manages multiple activities and duties efficiently in a timely manner. Multi-tasks efficiently.
- Responsible for the 1-4 family commercial appraisal process, from initial bid to appraisal report acceptance.
- Track commercial real estate appraisals from bid to final report acceptance.
- Maintain commercial financial statement tracking system, generate request letters, scan appropriate financial documentation to the Bank’s loan operation system and create respective ticklers.
- Input, track, and maintain loan covenants.
- Track annual reviews, initiate risk rating adjustments, and maintain review dates.
- Generate and mail covenant waiver letters. Work with Lenders to ensure the process is completed in a timely manner.
- Gathers and uploads all relevant documents related to Borrowing Base tracking and confirms proper maintenance has been completed.
- Reviews and prepares appraisal and credit invoices for approval by department management.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Approval Memorandum and Loan Documents necessary to determine and track loan covenants, create financial ticklers, and process annual reviews.
- Provide support to all areas of the Commercial Lending Department as directed.
- Complete monthly Watch List and TDR report.
- Complete and respond in a timely manner to requests for credit reports.
- Perform yearly analysis of the Exception Managed Portfolio to determine eligibility of loans and remove noncompliant loans accordingly.
- Maintain proficiency in several essential programs, including LoanVantage, Identifi, Insight, and Microsoft Office.
- Remains current on all Bank credit policies and existing laws and regulations.
- Learn to analyze financial statements and cash flows to determine profitability, capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, and the ability to repay existing and proposed obligations.
- Learn to spread financial statements and prepare and maintain financial spreads using department software.
- Learn to perform personal cash flow analysis and personal financial statement analysis on individuals to determine liquidity, availability, and total liability.
- Seeks to improve efficiency in Bank processes.
- Deals effectively with others and functions as part of a team in a fast paced, frequently changing environment.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
The following skills, experience, or background are necessary (with or without accommodation) for this position.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work-related experience in business, finance, accounting, or related field. Knowledge of basic accounting strongly preferred.
- Accuracy and attention-to-detail are critical to this role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A minimum of one-year of commercial banking experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage time effectively, balance multiple projects at one time, and complete accurate work within established deadlines.
- Strong PC knowledge.
- Knowledge of LoanVantage operating system is a plus.
