The Position

Die Abteilung Pharma Technical Characterization Cell and Genetherapy (PTCG) ist verantwortlich für die technische Entwicklung von in vivo Gentherapeutika in der präklinischen und klinischen Entwicklungsphase.

Das Team

Die Funktion Gentherapie-Analytik konzentriert sich auf die analytische Charakterisierung, Qualitätskontrolle sowie die Entwicklung und Implementierung neuartiger analytischer Technologien von präklinischen Studien bis zur Marktzulassung (BLA, Biologics License Application) und Markteinführung für gentherapeutische Modalitäten.

Deine Aufgaben

Wir suchen Dich mit speziellem Fokus auf Liquid Handling und Automation analytischer Methoden für die Testung und Charakterisierung von viralen Vektoren und Plasmiden. Zudem übernimmst du Projektverantwortung für Gentherapie Portfolioprojekte in der Entwicklung.

  • Automation & Innovation: Scouting, Evaluierung, Entwicklung sowie die Implementierung und routinemäßige Anwendung innovativer vollautomatisierter E2E Lösungen von Methoden für die Charakterisierung von viralen Vektoren (vorwiegend rAAV) und Plasmiden.

  • Portfolio Projektverantwortung: Du bist zentraler Ansprechpartner in präklinischen sowie klinischen Phasen für Gentherapie Portfolioprojekte, agierst als Vertreter der Analytischen Entwicklung und Qualitätskontrolle  in den  Technical Development Teams (TDT) und koordinierst anstehende Aufgaben  innerhalb der Teams unter Berücksichtigung der Timelines.

  • Funktionelle Analyse: Vorantreiben der Technologien zur Quantifizierung und funktionellen Charakterisierung in einem hochmotivierten, agilen und interdisziplinären Team.

  • Praktische Durchführung: Eigenverantwortliche, selbstorganisierte Durchführung von Experimenten, Methodenentwicklung sowie Gerätequalifizierung und Test-Validierung unter GMP-Anforderungen inklusive der Durchführung der Analysen.

  • Strategische Mitwirkung: Mitarbeit bei der Entwicklung und Definition von Kontroll- und Prüfstrategien für gentherapeutische Vektorenprodukte.

  • Datenmanagement: Selbstständige Interpretation, Bewertung und Dokumentation von Daten sowie Erstellung von Analyseberichten gemäß den geltenden regulatorischen Vorschriften.

Unser Wunschprofil

  • PhD-Abschluss in Biologie, molekularbiologischen oder einer anderen einschlägigen biowissenschaftlichen Disziplin mit > 3 Jahren praktische Erfahrung mit Liquid Handling Systemen für analytische Anwendungen.

  • Darüber hinaus bringst du ein grundlegendes Verständnis für Datenbanken und Datenflüsse mit sowie Grundlagen in SQL, VBA, Python oder ähnlichen Programmiersprachen.

  • Nachgewiesene Erfolgsbilanz und Fachkenntnisse (sowohl theoretisch als auch praktisch) in der Charakterisierung von viralen Vektoren (AAV, Lentiviren etc.) mittels analytischer Methoden.

  • Expertenwissen auf dem Gebiet der Plasmide und gentherapeutischen Modalitäten (AAV, Lentiviren, etc.)

  • Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen mit den Grundsätzen der GMP (z.B. Datenintegrität, Gerätequalifizierung, Testvalidierung).

  • Ein hohes Maß an Eigenmotivation, Verantwortungsbewusstsein, Ergebnisorientierung und Teamfähigkeit.

  • Fließende englische und deutsche Sprachkenntnisse (in Wort und Schrift).

Diese Position ist auf 2 Jahre befristet.
