Responsibilities
- Responsible for room turnover in the operating room; including mopping, sweeping, dusting, stocking supplies and other generalized or room preparations.
- Moving and cleaning of equipment.
- Assists in transporting patients.
- Helps patients and families with the hospital routine.
- Identifies and promotes a safe patient environment.
- Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent
Experience:
- Environmental services training in a patient setting and/or previous healthcare setting experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- CPR
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instruction.
- Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to set priorities and react rationally to situations in patient
