About the Role

WE’RE HIRING

Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher (PT)

Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm

(Paid vacation and sick time, including Holiday pay)

 

  

SUMMARY 

Responsible for washing dishes, cleaning and maintaining kitchen sanitization, and washing pots, pans, and trays. Maintains the dish room, keeping it clean and orderly.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Washes pots, pans, and trays used in the daily operation of the nutrition program
  • Scrapes food from dirty pots and pans and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine
  • Sweeps and mops the dish room floors
  • Prepare brewed beverages, consisting of brewing tea and coffee, setting up water dispensers for various programs at MMC
  • Transport Meals on Wheels food to the Day Break department
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATES/LICENSES

  • ServSafe Certification preferred but not required
