About the Role

To Start ASAP

Full Time (noon- 8pm).

$45,000-60,000 Depending on Licensure FT

Discovery Ranch South is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Math Teacher to join our educational team. Our organization is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students who are undergoing therapeutic treatment. As a Math Teacher at Discovery Ranch South, you will play a vital role in helping students in grades 7-12 develop their mathematical skills, build confidence, and achieve academic success while also contributing to their overall healing journey. Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with state curriculum standards.
  • Develop and adapt individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and track student progress in mathematical understanding.
  • Coordinate with therapists and support staff to integrate academic goals with therapeutic practices.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and interaction.
  • Maintain clear and constructive communication with students, parents, and team members.
  • Provide additional support and resources to help students overcome academic challenges.
  • Oversee teaching assistants to provide individualized academic instruction for each student.
  • Able to pass criminal investigation background checks.
  • Able to pass motor vehicle record checks.
  • Current Utah driver's license (required within 30 days of employment).
  • 1st Aid & CPR certified (training provided).
  • Aegis certified (training provided).
  • Valid Utah teaching license in secondary mathematics.
  • Prior teaching experience, particularly with middle and high school students, is preferred.
  • Experience in therapeutic settings or with at-risk youth is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for math education and supporting student growth.
