School of Engineering - Lecturer (Aerospace Engineering)

[What the role is]
Lecturer (Aerospace Engineering)[What you will be working on]
• Develop curriculum and deliver lessons, primarily in the areas of Singapore Airworthiness Requirement Part 66 (SAR-66) M1 to M17 modules, as well as other Engineering disciplines.
• Supervise students’ final year projects and internships, and reach out to various stakeholders such as industry partners and universities.
• Develop and conduct Continuing Education and Training (CET) lessons.
• Take part in academic research projects, R&D/Implementation projects or consultancy to the industry.
• Mentor and motivate students in their learning journey.
• Plan and lead in school activities such as student overseas trip, service learning, outreach events and similar activities.
• Undertake other administrative work related to the programme and student development activities.
[What we are looking for]
• Qualification in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of work experience in the aerospace MRO, with the following criteria(s):
1. hold, or have held an aircraft maintenance license (B1 and/or B2 category) issued by CAAS, or
2. 5 years experience as an aircraft maintenance technician in the B1 and/or B2 Category and has passed relevant CAAS SAR-66 basic examinations in, or
3. engineering degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, and has passed the relevant CAAS SAR-66 basic examinations for B1 and/or B2 Category.
