Job Description

Job Summary**

Responsible for providing comprehensive mortgage solutions to customers, from initial consultation to loan disbursement, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities**

* Identify and proactively engage with potential mortgage customers through various channels, including referrals, branch walk-ins, and outbound calls.
* Conduct thorough financial needs analysis for customers, assessing their eligibility and recommending suitable mortgage products (e.g., housing loans, refinancing, bridging loans).
* Explain complex mortgage terms, conditions, interest rates, and repayment options clearly and concisely to customers.
* Guide customers through the entire mortgage application process, assisting with documentation collection, form completion, and submission.
* Liaise effectively with internal departments such as credit assessment, legal, and operations to ensure smooth and timely processing of mortgage applications.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UOB Malaysia's mortgage products, policies, and pricing, as well as relevant industry trends and regulatory changes.
* Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall team's performance.
* Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines).
* Participate in marketing activities and roadshows to promote UOB Malaysia's mortgage offerings.

Job Qualifications**

* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
* At least 2-3 years of proven experience in mortgage sales or a related financial services role, preferably within a banking environment.
* Strong understanding of mortgage products, credit assessment principles, and the Malaysian property market.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
* Results-oriented with a strong sales drive and the ability to meet and exceed targets.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM guidelines) is essential.
* Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin or other local dialects would be an added advantage.
