About the Role
We are looking for one passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our Summer Camp team! This is a temporary contract role running from July 2 to August 28, 2026, and requires a valid Alberta ECE license (Level 1, 2, or 3).
We are also actively hiring on-call Supply ECEs to support our team throughout the summer.
This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while creating a fun, safe, and engaging summer experience for children.
Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping
- Implement an Emergent Curriculum
- Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being while fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain attendance and complete health and safety checks
- Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as needed
- Support children through transitions in and out of classrooms
- Ensure all classroom ratios are met
- Participate in team meetings and workshops
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Comfortable using computer systems for documentation and classroom operations
- Strong collaborator and team player
- Ability to take initiative both in and out of the classroom
- Strong problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- ECE Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3 – Alberta required)
- Valid Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR Level B
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs
