About the Role

Job Description

As Product & Business Strategy Director, you will play a key role in expanding Above’s presence in the Swedish market. Combining strategic product thinking with commercial leadership, you will help identify and secure new business opportunities while shaping impactful digital products and services for some of the world’s most ambitious brands.

You will act as a trusted advisor to both new and existing clients, helping them define product strategies, roadmaps, and ways of working that create measurable business and customer value. You understand that the product experience is often the product itself, and you know how to connect user needs, technical possibilities, and business goals into offerings that create real impact.

This role requires someone who can think about products from multiple angles - commercial, strategic, technical, and experiential. You are equally comfortable discussing high-level business objectives with executives as you are translating specialist input from designers, strategists, and engineers into clear recommendations and actions.

In addition to client work, you will contribute to building Above’s Sweden presence and shaping a more strategic approach to account development across the wider organization. You will approach client relationships with an ownership mindset, treating each account as a long-term investment and continuously identifying new ways to create value.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven leader who combines deep product expertise with strong business development capabilities.

  • Proven track record of identifying, shaping, and closing new business opportunities in consulting, digital product, or related services.

  • Extensive experience working in a leading consultancy, innovation agency, or product-focused organization, with exposure to multiple industries and client environments.

  • Strong understanding of product strategy, product management, and modern digital product development practices.

  • Ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes and help clients close the gap between vision and measurable results.

  • Experience building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a strategic advisor to C-level executives.

  • Ability to understand domain-specific challenges and leverage internal subject matter experts effectively.

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, translating technical and specialist perspectives into language that resonates with business stakeholders.

  • Excellent facilitator with experience running workshops focused on strategy, product vision, roadmaps, and organizational change.

  • Curiosity and genuine interest in products, markets, customer behavior, and emerging technologies.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with high expectations and multiple priorities.

  • Entrepreneurial, execution-oriented, and focused on getting things done.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in or with US-based organizations, or having lived and worked in the United States.

  • Experience with both supply-side and demand-side commercial models.

  • Domain expertise in one or more relevant industry verticals.

  • Hands-on experience as a Product Manager or Product Leader.

  • Experience in connected products, hardware, or software-driven product ecosystems.

  • Advanced degree such as a Master’s degree and/or MBA.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Swedish market.

  • Build strong relationships with product and business leaders at prospective and existing clients.

  • Shape proposals and engage the right experts across strategy, design, and technology.

  • Lead pitches and commercial discussions through to signed engagements.

  • Help clients define product strategies, positioning, roadmaps, and success metrics.

  • Facilitate workshops focused on product strategy, transformation, and adoption.

  • Coach stakeholders and teams in best-in-class product development practices.

  • Monitor program and product performance and communicate progress, risks, and opportunities.

  • Represent Above’s broader capabilities across innovation, design, and technology.

  • Contribute to the growth of our Sweden office and the continued development of our commercial approach.
