Summary: Open and close buildings, secure property, managing equipment, and ensure guests have exit prior to closing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Provide a professional approach and decorum with customers and fellow staff members and adhere to East Lawn’s Mission Statement and Values.
• Open buildings and prepare facility for guests at start of shift; secure buildings and ensure lights and equipment are turned off at end of shift.
• Escort guests out of buildings and grounds prior to closing. Ensure all areas are cleared before locking gates and doors.
• Lower flags (e.g., 911 Memorial flags) and ensure proper storage according to company protocol.
• Move golf carts and family van into the garage and secure all equipment.
• Patrol the building and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security.
• Assist with special functions or services as needed, including moving equipment, setting up rooms, or supporting staff.
• Perform light cleaning or tidying tasks as necessary to maintain facility standards.
• Other duties as required.

• May require morning, evening, weekend, or holiday hours depending on facility needs

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certificates and Licenses

• Valid Driver License

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position is in a mausoleum, funeral home and cemetery. Noise level is low to moderate. May work in low light conditions, dusty areas, or outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time. The employee must constantly reach with hands and fingers. Employee must be able to work in close contact with small and large groups. Frequent hearing and talking is required. It requires the ability to walk, bend, lift or carry items or equipment up to 75 pounds, and access all areas of the park or facility.
