You will shape the strategy, performance, and future growth of these platforms while ensuring they remain scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. You will manage a portfolio of approved enterprise applications, champion adoption across the organization, and serve as the primary expert for enterprise integrations. This position is accountable for system delivery, operational excellence, stability, and continuous improvement. If a business process depends on an enterprise system, you will help drive its success.

Enterprise Systems Roadmap & Integration Strategy:

  • Multi-Year Roadmap:  Align the enterprise platform roadmap with corporate strategy, financial operations, and growth plans.
  • Modern Architecture:  Enforce API-first, service-based, and event-driven integration patterns across systems.

  • Cross-Team Alignment:  Partner with data and architecture teams to ensure clean data flows across ERP, warehouse, and store systems.

Vendor Strategy & Performance Management:

  • SME Evaluation:  Maintain deep awareness of best-in-class solutions within grocery, retail, and distribution sectors.
  • KPI enforcement:  Establish metrics tracking system uptime, transaction accuracy, integration reliability, and total cost of ownership.
  • Governance Reviews:  Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual vendor reviews to ensure contractual delivery and cost optimization.

Business Engagement & Team Leadership:

  • Stakeholder Partnership:  Partner directly with finance, operations, and business leaders to align capabilities with corporate needs.
  • Team Development:  Lead the Enterprise Systems team, establishing clear roles, accountabilities, and future leadership pathways.
  • Operational Excellence:  Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to boost processing accuracy and support quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in direct leadership roles managing enterprise application teams.
  • Deep Expertise:  Hands-on experience with ERP platforms (NetSuite or equivalent).
  • Financial Acumen:  Strong understanding of core financial systems, accounting structures, and business processes.
  • Integration Delivery:  Proven success designing and enforcing modern enterprise integration strategies.
  • Vendor Management:  Solid history of negotiating contracts and managing third-party software providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail, grocery, wholesale, or supply chain distribution environments.
  • Deep familiarity with EDI systems, order management, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Proven experience migrating organizations away from legacy tech stacks.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft).
  • Exposure to cloud-native and service-oriented architectures (SOA).

Core Competencies:

  • Ownership: You take ultimate accountability for enterprise system outcomes.
  • Execution: You deliver highly functional systems that support daily business operations.
  • Technical Depth:  You understand ERP architecture and complex downstream integration patterns.

What Success Looks Like:
