The Lanterman Act is part of California law that sets out the rights and responsibilities of persons with developmental disabilities. San Andreas is one of 21 regional centers throughout California serving individuals and their families who reside within Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz Counties. Services Provided Once an individual’s eligibility has been determined through the Intake process, service coordination and planning is initiated with the development of a person centered written plan. Services are individually determined and are provided to assist with opportunities to maximize consumers’ opportunities to live independent productive and satisfying lives as members of our community. Job Summary: While maintaining good public relations with the community and implementing the goals of the Agency, this position is primarily responsible for coordinating the vendorization rate process and act as the rate resource person for the agency.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Support Fiscal Supervisor-Rates with all aspects of the vendorization process pertaining to rates, including, but not limited to reviewing vendor applications, drafting vendor correspondence, rate additions, deletions, and terminations 
  • Maintain rates to ensure proper use within Schedule of Maximum Allowance of Reimbursement, Medical or State Median set Rates and Guidelines.
  • Maintain service codes to ensure proper use within Title 17 Regulations, Statutory Requirements and Guidelines and proper use of accounts.
  • Manage and implement various rate increases/changes due to DDS mandated rate additions and/or adjustments. 
  • Interacts with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Rates and Fiscal Compliance Section regarding rates vendorization and/or other fiscal issues 
  • Reviews rate information and acts as rate resource person for the agency.
  • Serve as liaison between the fiscal and community services departments for vendorization and rate issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Other: Use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law, or the ability to provide for independent transportation.

Requirements


Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business-related field. Individual must have excellent communication skills as they will be interacting with internal and external parties regarding complex rate related issues. Individual must have at least five years of increasingly related responsible experience.


Special Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment, following complicated oral and written instructions. Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines that accommodate exterior mandated timelines. Individual should be to write and speak professionally as position is required to make effective presentations. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills and knowledge of general accounting procedures is required.
