Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Systems Administrator to join the firm as part of our Shared Services Information Technology team. This is an in-office position where you will work alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve strong results. Responsibilities
- Participate in an on-call rotation, after-hours maintenance, and incident response to help maintain system availability.
- Administer and support VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and related virtualization components.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core server services.
- Support a small number of Linux servers and perform routine administration tasks as needed.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot operating systems and infrastructure applications.
- Monitor system health, performance, logs, backups, and scheduled jobs to ensure stable operations.
- Support storage platforms used by servers and virtual environments, including SAN, direct-attached, and object storage.
- Follow security standards for system hardening, patching, access control, and vulnerability response.
- Assist with incident, change, and capacity management processes for systems infrastructure.
- Document configurations, procedures, support steps, and environment changes to keep records accurate and current.
- Troubleshoot server, virtualization, and infrastructure issues and escalate complex problems when needed.
- Support Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, Entra ID, backup, monitoring, and hybrid identity services.
- Perform backup verification, restore testing, and support disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage endpoint administration through Intune or similar tools.
- Handle service requests, incidents, and change records through the team’s ticketing process.
- Use PowerShell to automate routine administration and reporting.
- Help plan and carry out system upgrades, maintenance windows, and small infrastructure projects.
- Travel occasionally to other company offices for project work or operational support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent training and work experience.
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in systems and infrastructure administration.
- Experience administering VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi and vCenter.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Working knowledge of storage solutions used in server and virtualized environments.
- Experience supporting Azure infrastructure in a hybrid environment.
- Experience with Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell for operational automation.
- Basic understanding of security practices such as patching, vulnerability management, and access control.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across servers, virtualization, and infrastructure services.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and respond to support needs in a timely manner.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or similar credentials are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Work at a computer for extended periods.
- Move between standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing throughout the day.
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Travel to other offices as needed
