About the Role
Works independently to receive and process specimens received from producers, clinics/floors, operation rooms, and emergency departments. This includes, and is not limited to, verifying specimen identity, accessioning/data entry, routing/biopsy grossing, and intra-operative/intra-procedure processing. Maintains the pathology lab section, manages inventory, and handles all shipping/receiving functions.
Education
Associate's Degree Clinical Lab Science (Medical Technology), Biological, Chemical, Physical, or Life Sciences with at least 60 credits from an accredited institution. Must include 24 credits of related clinical laboratory science/medical technology courses or 6 credits in chemistry, 6 credits in biology and 12 additional credits in a combination of chemistry, biology or medical lab technology Required
Experience
1 year experience in Pathology Preferred
Licenses
Amer Soc Clinical Pathology Preferred
Education
