About the Role

Leading a team of product managers, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of high‑net‑worth (HNW) product propositions, driving the end‑to‑end lifecycle from strategy and ideation to approval, launch, and post‑launch performance. This role reports to the Section Head of Consumer Propositions (Wealth). 

1. Product Strategy and Roadmap 

• Support the formulation of the annual product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader business priorities and HNW segment ambitions. 

• Provide an overall view of the competitive landscape, analysing leading insurers’ HNW propositions, value drivers, and positioning relative to GELS offerings. 

• Conduct analysis of customer segments, sales trends, and distribution effectiveness to identify growth opportunities and capability gaps. 

• Translate insights into clear strategic priorities across high-value segments, emerging needs, and untapped opportunities 

2. Ideation of Product Propositions 

• Lead cross-functional ideation to develop innovative HNW product propositions addressing sophisticated client needs (e.g. wealth preservation, legacy planning). 

• Engage key stakeholders to align on business objectives and develop clear implementation plans. 

• Partner with external vendors (e.g. reinsurers, brokers etc.) to gather product ideas and keep up to date with market offerings (including overseas market). 

• Drive customer-centric design through research, testing, and iterative refinement of product features, pricing, and proposition. 

• Secure management alignment through clear articulation of proposition value, commercial impact, and differentiation. 

3. Product Approval 

• Drive readiness of approval materials, ensuring clarity of proposition, risks, and financial implications. 

• Ensure compliance with product approval framework and timely approvals ahead of launch milestones. 

4. Product Delivery and Launch Preparation 

• Lead the product discussion with downstream stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of product intent and design. 

• Partner with the product delivery team to manage any implementation issues to ensure product delivery accordance to plan with minimal disruptions. 

• Drive process innovation across product development and delivery to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market. 

• Oversee development of key product documents and marketing materials to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment to target segment. 

5. Post-Sales Monitoring and Tracking 

• Monitor sales performance, customer mix, and distribution effectiveness against defined targets. 

• Analyse performance gaps and recommend actions to optimise outcomes 

• Provide regular performance updates and insights to senior stakeholders. 

6. Leadership and Project Management 

• Guide and mentor team to build strong product and proposition capabilities across the team. 

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS, LIA) and internal governance standards. 

• Champion innovation and continuous improvement across product design and development 

• Manage timelines and resolve key delivery roadblocks.



• Tertiary education qualification in Actuarial, Insurance, Finance or Marketing related disciplines. 

• 10–15 years of experience in product development / proposition or pricing, preferably with exposure to HNW or affluent segments. 

• Possess strong traits of analytical mind, with the ability to seed ideas, inspire creativity, critical think and solution, be resourceful. 

• Strong communicator to articulate ideas and convince stakeholders. 

• Excellent planning, organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills. 

• Pro-active and project-oriented individual with focus on improvement and change and ability to work under pressure or tight timelines.
