About the Role

Description

Cobalt Benefits Group is seeking an IT Systems Administrator with strong experience in Microsoft Azure design to support and modernize our hybrid infrastructure. This role is critical to advancing our cloud-first strategy, strengthening security, and eliminating single points of failure in operations. You’ll work across Azure, Microsoft 365, and core infrastructure platforms while partnering closely with security and support teams. We offer hybrid work. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Microsoft Azure environments (IaaS, networking, security)
  • Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity
  • Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and core infrastructure
  • Support Intune Endpoint Management and M365 services (Exchange, Teams, 
  • SharePoint)
  • Implement and maintain modern backup/DR strategies.
  • Partner with Security on cloud hardening and compliance (HITRUST, SOC 2)
  • Drive automation and operational improvements

Requirements

  •  4–6+ years of systems administration experience
  • Hands-on Azure experience (deployments, networking, security)
  • Strong Active Directory / Windows Server background
  • Experience with Intune and Microsoft 365
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure security best practices
  • Preferred: Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500)
  • Preferred: A defined interest in Automation AI in Azure
  • Preferred: PowerShell scripting
  • Preferred: Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, insurance
