Project Engineer (2-Year Contract)

Job Description
1.1 Assist in capital equipment acquisition, installation, commissioning, and validation of packaging and process equipment.
1.2 Develop and manage project documentation, including change control, risk assessments, and validation activities.
1.3 Execute packaging-related projects, including material changes, supplier qualification, supplier transfer, and cost improvement (CTW) initiatives.
1.4 Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and suppliers to support packaging process development, improvements, and issue resolution.
1.5 Provide engineering support for maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement activities within the value stream.
1.6 Maintain effective communication and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines.
1.7 Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including ISO and FDA standards.
1.8 Support packaging validation, testing, and qualification activities to ensure product integrity during handling, storage, and distribution.
1.9 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cost.
1.10 Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in packaging validation, material qualification, or supplier transfer activities will be an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills
Basic project management and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing business needs
Hands-on experience in packaging processes across multiple levels, including blister packaging, dispenser boxes, and shipper packaging, will be an advantage
Accountability
Safety, Quality, Service, and Delivery performance in line with plant and value stream objectives.
Contribution to project execution, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost-saving targets (CTW projects).
