Position Summary
The Manager HCC MT Execution Team APAC serves as a senior individual contributor and subject-matter expert within the centralized compliance operations group and executes the centralized monitoring, approvals and due diligence activities for the region. This role is responsible for executing complex, high-risk approvals and due diligence assessments, supporting process optimization, and ensuring consistent application of compliance standards across all cases. The role is further responsible for conducting risk-based monitoring reviews, identifying potential compliance gaps, and supporting trend analysis across transactional and behavioral data. The Manager ensures that monitoring activities are conducted accurately, consistently, and in alignment with global and regional compliance expectations. Lastly the role supports the development of compliance dashboards, metrics, and analytics that inform risk assessments and operational compliance insights.
Key Responsibilities
Approvals & Due Diligence
- Conduct detailed, risk-based reviews of complex or sensitive approvals and third-party due diligence cases.
- Perform enhanced due diligence on higher-risk intermediaries, including review of ownership, reputation, sanctions, and potential red flags.
- Assess and document risk rationale clearly and ensure appropriate recommendations or escalations are made.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for complex cases, supporting consistent risk interpretation across the team.
Monitoring & Trending
- Oversee the execution of centralized monitoring reviews and ensure activities follow established risk frameworks and methodologies.
- Perform quality checks, validate findings, and ensure accurate categorization, documentation, and escalation of issues.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex cases and support consistent application of monitoring standards.
- Identify patterns, themes, and emerging risks across monitoring outputs.
- Integrate monitoring insights into dashboards and analytical products.
- Prepare consolidated monitoring summaries and contribute to periodic reporting for regional leadership.
- Recommend enhancements to monitoring methodologies, sampling strategies, and review criteria.
- Ensure monitoring activities align with global compliance expectations and reflect evolving risk priorities.
- Maintain strong documentation, audit-readiness, and governance practices across all monitoring processes.
- Engage with Compliance Officers, Legal, audit, and business stakeholders on monitoring results, clarifications, and follow-up actions.
- Support training, capability building, and knowledge-sharing across the function.
Operational Intelligence
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and analytics to support compliance insights.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and compliance risk indicators.
- Support enhancement of compliance analytics tools and technology platforms.
- Prepare regular reports for regional and global compliance stakeholders.
Governance & Risk Management
- Serve as a senior advisor on compliance risk matters to leadership across the region.
- Ensure applicable policies and procedures meet both global compliance standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation in centralized compliance processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with global and regional compliance leaders to ensure integration of compliance efforts.
- Act as an escalation point for complex compliance cases in the region.
- Engage with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders when required.
Reporting & Transparency
- Deliver regular reporting to senior management and compliance committees on performance, risks, and outcomes.
- Ensure thorough documentation and audit-readiness of all compliance decisions and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Compliance, or a related discipline; advanced degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, third-party risk, or other business related fields.
- Robust understanding anti-corruption, Health Care compliance, and third-party risk management frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead operational teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk factors and make well-reasoned decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple levels and countries.
- Fluency in English required;
