About the Role

Description

Location:   Star Apartments - 240 E 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90014 

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Housing Option: Free Studio Apartment Available

Beach Front Property Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of an affordable housing community in Los Angeles (Star Apartments). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping residents, maintaining compliance standards, and working in a team-oriented environment while contributing to the success of a thriving community.


What You'll Do

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of an affordable housing community
  • Support leasing activities, applicant processing, and resident move-ins
  • Review resident files and assist with income certifications and recertifications
  • Help ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements and regulatory guidelines
  • Promote lease renewals and maintain positive resident relationships
  • Support rent collection, delinquency management, and policy enforcement
  • Maintain accurate resident records and documentation in Yardi Voyager
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and file reviews as needed
  • Partner with the Regional Property Supervisor to achieve operational and occupancy goals
  • Coordinate with maintenance and resident services teams to ensure excellent resident experiences
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain community standards
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and assist with special projects

Requirements

  • Experience in affordable housing, property management, leasing, or related housing program 
  • Knowledge of affordable housing regulations, recertifications, and compliance processes preferred
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse resident populations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive resident information professionally


Preferred Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with HUD, LIHTC, Tax Credit, Section 8, or other affordable housing programs
  • Yardi Voyager experience
