About the Role

Description

Are you a highly disciplined, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced environment? Abby’s Catering is looking for a CASR-Associate (Custom Approved Store Room) to join our Warehouse Operations team near IAH Airport. This isn't just standard warehouse work—it is a federally regulated function central to our compliance posture and operational continuity. Every single item passing through our customs-bonded storeroom must be meticulously tracked, documented, and accounted for in strict accordance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. If you have a zero-tolerance standard for errors and a passion for precision, we want you on our team.

Why Join Abby’s Catering? Since 1980, Abby's Catering has delivered one-of-a-kind culinary and hospitality experiences, proudly partnering with commercial airlines and private aviation clients. Our reputation is built on culinary excellence, operational precision, and flawless data integrity. We live this mission every day through our core values of C.A.T.C.H. (Customer Service, Accountability, Teamwork, Competitiveness, and Honesty).

Customer Service – Every detail matters, every time

Accountability – We take ownership of our work, standards, and results

Teamwork – Collaboration drives consistency and success

Competitiveness – We push ourselves to lead, not follow

Honesty – Integrity guides every decision

The Role:

  • Customs Bonded Storeroom Operations: Receive, inspect, segregate, and document all incoming bonded goods. Maintain a real-time inventory and prepare documentation required for CBP compliance audits.
  • Receiving & Inventory Management: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and manifests using FIFO rotation. Perform cycle counts, manage par levels, and coordinate with culinary and purchasing teams to fulfill pull requests.
  • CBP Compliance: Maintain strict, non-negotiable compliance with all CBP bonded storeroom regulations. Complete entry records, withdrawal logs, and destruction reports accurately and on time.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for CBP-related storeroom inquiries from our internal culinary, operations, and purchasing teams.
  • Safety & Facility Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready storeroom while following all food safety, allergen handling, and HACCP protocols

Requirements

CBP Access Requirement (Non-Negotiable): Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP clearance and an Airport ID Badge with a CBP Seal (CBP Form 3078 required). Continued compliance with all CBP regulations is a mandatory condition of employment.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, storeroom, or receiving role—preferably in food service, aviation catering, or a regulated environment. Experience working in an airport/aviation environment or a customs-bonded warehouse is strongly preferred.
  • Technical & Inventory Skills: Proficiency with inventory management systems and strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Detail-Oriented: A demonstrated zero-tolerance approach to accuracy in documentation, data entry, manifest reconciliation, and record-keeping.
  • Language Skills: English proficiency is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are strongly preferred to support operational team communication.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to tolerate varying temperature environments (refrigerated storage below 40°F, freezer, and hot kitchen areas) and wear required PPE. Valid driver's license required to safely operate a 26-ft box truck.
