The robotic warehouse solutions have been implemented in various industries, including fashion, 3PL, retail, electronics, healthcare, and e-commerce.
About the Role
Brief Overview
We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Software Consultant to drive the design, development, and delivery of high-impact software solutions. In this role, you will collaborate across R&D, Product Management, Solutions/Industry teams, and global stakeholders to define, scope, and implement software architectures that align with business and customer needs.You will be responsible for solution design, functional specifications, and technical documentation in support of customer projects and RFPs, while ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment with product vision. This position demands a strong customer-centric mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex cross-functional engagements.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role ideal for someone who blends technical expertise with business acumen and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships across the Software R&D organization and Product Management as well as with Solution/Industry, Procurement, and the Global Software Organization.
- Contribute to the thought leadership within the Solution and Product team.
- Establish continuous improvement process, that includes key metrics, for the products and services offered
- High level design, capacity & configuration requirements.
- Collaborate with and communicate to internal and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Own the software engineering-related content in response to RFP, RFI, and other customer tender documentation for assigned opportunities.
- Have a strong customer oriented approach, to provide a positive and lasting experience, supported by negotiation skills to define the solution with the highest value and benefits.
- Develop the Business Requirements Document (BRD) together with the customer and the stakeholders.
- Estimate technical requirements, time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement the projects.
- Develop effort and scope necessary to implement each assigned opportunity, including human-machine interface, software, business intelligent product and third party equipment.
- Be accountable for the Functional Design Specification (FDS) during the solution definition process.
- Utilise project management skills and process knowledge to deliver the final software solution, monitor development activities and ensure adequate solution quality.
- Determine methodology for collecting, analyzing and summarizing data critical to design.
Who are we looking for?
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Engineering or a related field.- Between 2 - 3 years of experience as a Software Consultant, Software Engineer, Solution Consultant, Operations Research Engineer or a related occupation.
- Between 2 - 3 years of experience with enterprise software solutions; supply chain and logistics; integrated systems solutions; technical solution design life cycle; WMS, WCS companies and software development
- Excellent English communication, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Chinese (verbal and written) is highly desirable
- Comfortable with up to 20% of travel to various unanticipated locations
