About the Role

Description

We are a family-oriented Midwest based company, with locations in Wisconsin and Minnesota. We have a need for a Controls Assembly Technician to support the electrical assembly of our skidded systems.


The Controls Assembly Technician is responsible for building control panels based on engineered drawings and assisting our EI Technicians with wiring of skidded systems.

What You Get To Do

  • Builds electrical control panels with power feeds up to 600VAC based on engineered drawings.
  • Reads electrical drawings and installs conduit, power, and control wiring.
  • Assists in troubleshooting electrical control panels with power feeds up to 600VAC
  • Assist in configuring Variable Frequency drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Works with Ethernet communication networks.
  • Works collaboratively with Application Engineers and other internal staff.
  • Builds and wires using NEC regulations and UL quality standards.
  • Troubleshoots equipment and system problems utilizing basic test equipment.
  • Accurately prepares required customer and Crane documentation.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What We Need From You

  • Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to efficiently navigate Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and other controls equipment preferred.
  • Familiar with NEC regulations, UL 508A a plus. 
  • A positive, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. 
  • An ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements for projects.
  • A well-organized and self-directed team player.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime. 
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
