What You’ll Do (Typical Day as a Teacher)

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for your assigned age group
  • Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, food program compliance, developmental milestones, and accident reports
  • Communicate with parents about their child’s daily activities, progress, and needs
  • Use positive behavior management techniques, including Conscious Discipline
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to ensure the success of all children in our school family

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool (preferred, but not required — we provide training)
  • Ability to engage positively with children, families, and co-workers
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, and move quickly with active children
  • For after-school teachers: Valid Texas driver’s license and willingness to drive a mini bus

Available Schedules (Monday–Friday)

  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
