Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Franchise Support Lead, SENA, located in Singapore.

Position Summary 

The Franchise Support Lead is a people leader responsible for leading the Franchise Support function for DePuy Synthes across Southeast & North Asia (SENA). This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality franchise support enabling commercial execution across markets. 

The role leads and develops a team of Franchise Support Executives across countries, ensuring excellence in event management, compliance, financial governance, and administrative operations, while driving standardisation, continuous improvement, and strong cross-functional partnership. 

Job Responsibilities 

Franchise Support Function & Operational Leadership 

  • Lead the end-to-end Franchise Support operational model across SENA, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance in support provided to Commercial and Marketing teams. 

  • Provide oversight and governance for event management, including local, regional, overseas, and virtual activities, ensuring flawless execution aligned with internal policies and external regulations. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert on franchise support processes including HCC Life, Legal contracting, Procurement (eMP), budget tracking, accruals, and audit readiness. 

  • Ensure robust financial discipline, overseeing A&P tracking, IO management, accruals, cost center governance, and dashboard reporting across markets. 

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and implementing sustainable solutions and standard operating practices. 

 

People Leadership & Capability Building 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Franchise Support Executives, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and service-oriented team culture. 

  • Set clear expectations, priorities, and success measures aligned to business objectives and compliance requirements. 

  • Build bench strength and capability through structured onboarding, coaching, cross-market knowledge sharing, and skills development. 

  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues, balancing speed, compliance, and business needs. 

 

Stakeholder Partnership & Influence 

  • Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Legal, HCC, Procurement, and Travel & Meetings teams to ensure aligned execution and risk-managed decision-making. 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to commercial leaders, providing guidance on feasibility, compliance implications, timelines, and resource planning for events and initiatives. 

  • Proactively manage cross-market dependencies and intercompany interactions, ensuring seamless coordination across the cluster. 

 

Compliance, Risk & Quality Management 

  • Ensure all franchise support activities are executed in full compliance with: 

  • HCC & HCC Life requirements 

  • Legal contracting standards 

  • Procurement (eMP, ARAVO, PO, RFP) policies 

  • Business Quality, ISRM, DARM, Privacy & Data, and audit requirements 

  • Champion a “compliance by design” mindset within the team, embedding controls, documentation, and audit readiness into daily operations. 

  • Lead preparation for audits and reviews, ensuring timely, accurate documentation and corrective actions where needed. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • 8+ years of experience in franchise support, commercial operations, event management, or administrative leadership within MedTech or regulated healthcare environments (Orthopaedics preferred). 

  • Proven people leadership experience, managing teams across multiple stakeholders and, preferably, multiple markets. 

  • Strong hands-on experience with: 

  • Event and meeting management (physical, virtual, overseas) 

  • HCC compliance and approval workflows 

  • Legal contracting processes 

  • Procurement systems (eMP, ARAVO, PO, RFP) 

  • Budget management, accruals, and financial dashboards 

  • Experience working in a matrixed, regional environment is highly preferred. 

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to balance service orientation and governance 

  • Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence without authority 

  • High attention to detail with strong systems, process, and risk orientation 

  • Independent, resilient, and solutions-focused 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and virtual meeting platforms 

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
