Job Overview
The Director, Enabling Capabilities plays a critical leadership role within Global Services (GS) Strategy & Operations, responsible for building and evolving the enterprise capabilities that power service delivery across Global Services and aligned functions. This role shapes how data, digital, content, insights, and process excellence capabilities are designed, governed, and scaled to enable business outcomes.
This is a highly visible role with broad enterprise impact—connecting strategy to execution, accelerating transformation initiatives, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making at scale across Global Services.
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the Global Services enabling capabilities portfolio (data, digital, insights, content, and process excellence), ensuring enterprise‑ready, scalable data, digial, and AI solutions the enable the enterprise and Service Delivery in delivering world class experience for employees and GS customers.
Lead Global Services data, digital, and insights strategy, including intelligent automation, business systems enablement, Sourceview, and reporting and performance management, delivering trusted KPIs, dashboards, and insight‑driven decision support.
Own content management and knowledge enablement strategy and capabilities, driving standardized content strategies that support self‑service, experience outcomes, and service excellence.
Lead process design and continuous improvement, embedding CI methodologies and data‑driven optimization to improve cost‑to‑serve, service quality, and operational resilience.
Act as a strategic connector between Strategy & Operations and service delivery teams, translating enterprise and GS priorities into actionable roadmaps, intake models, and execution plans, while enabling large‑scale transformation and measurable business outcomes.
Enable transformations and business outcomes, partnering with portfolio, operations, and experience teams to support large‑scale initiatives and “must wins” by providing the foundational capabilities that accelerate adoption and deliver measurable impact.
Develop and lead high‑performing capability teams, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and sustainable talent and operating models.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Data, Information Systems, or related field)
Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Experience and Skills
Required
Typically requires 10-12 years of experience in strategy, operations, or enterprise capability management within a global or shared services environment
Proven experience leading data, digital, reporting, or process excellence capabilities at enterprise scale
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operating models, roadmaps, and execution plans
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across senior leadership, operations, and delivery teams
Experience building, leading, and developing high‑performing global teams
Preferred
Experience supporting large‑scale transformations or enterprise “must win” initiatives
Background in shared services, global business services, or enterprise operations environments
Familiarity with intelligent automation, analytics platforms, and content management ecosystems
Experience working in or partnering with offshore or regional delivery hubs
Other
Language: English proficiency required
Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel may be required
Certifications: Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or analytics certifications preferred but not required
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
