About the Role

Description

 


At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We also offer unique services like our nuclear stress testing facility.


Our physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff. We do our best to take care of everything for our patients – records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.


We are seeking a full time Switchboard Operator to join our team in Towson!  Our ideal candidate will have medical office switchboard experience  or high volume call center experience.  Excellent customer service skills and professionalism is a must!


Schedule:  Monday - Friday  8:30 am to  4:30 pm.

Office Location:  515 Fairmount Avenue, Towson, MD 21286



Job Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Provides an experience of efficient yet nurturing environment for patients and families.
  • Greets patients and visitors via phone and in person in a pleasant manner, making eye contact when the encounter is in person.
  • Welcomes patient concerns and complaints and when unable to satisfactorily provide an immediate and satisfying answer, immediately reports to supervisor for timely response and follow through.
  • Assures confidentiality of patient information.
  • Makes appointment reminder calls as needed.
  • Answers all calls promptly and politely; transfers and terminates phone calls.
  • Identifies and quickly assesses nature of call and acts appropriately to provide prompt service.
  • Transmits information necessary to resolve all issues raised by caller.
  • Appropriately retrieves, distributes and sends faxes.
  • May provide back up support for the Referral Coordinator as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.




Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Office experience required.
  • EMR experience is preferred - Nextgen is a plus!
  • Basic computer skills with a willingness and ability to learn new applications.
  • Excellent oral communication skills with ability to hear, to understand and to speak standard English clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to read, write and spell standard English clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to interact effectively with culturally diverse patient and employee population.
  • Ability to convey a positive attitude and project a professional image.
  • Requires long periods of sitting, intermittent standing, reaching and bending. Must be able to lift approximately 10 lbs.
  • Ability to type accurately at a moderate rate.
